Not as enjoyable as wat Zogel described... I was super tired after a rather long flight of G fighting... Nevertheless, it's an awful experience (once in a lifetime...) It's really not easy being a fighter pilot and WSO fighter.

Hi All,

do you know how stat boards like IRAS reply to your queries? Well, my encounter, i asked something from the "east", they replied with something from the "west". Relevance? ZERO.
To laugh at such matters and take it as a pinch of salt... (fr a fren, "this kind of thingy is quite normal for stat board and govt sector...") or... shoot back a sarcastic reply mail "thank u for your reply, so helpful that i find NIL answers to my queries"?

To whom it may concern:
Hi,
under a friend's advice, i've logged in to myTaxPortal, and went through the steps of "What I need to do", "Make Payment" and finally, "Pay my outstanding tax".
After the whole process, I am aware of the tax amount payable and managed to obtain the payment voucher number. I have subsequently proceed to the nearest AXS station to make payment (immediately).
Queries:
1. Confirm i will not be receiving any tax payable notification through snail mail from now on?
2. Confirm the process to log in to myTaxPortal and go through the "make payment" steps is what tax payers will do for future tax payments and for checking amount payable?
3. Without the tax payment notification letter, how do I verify that I am taxed on the correct amount? Is there any statement I can refer to on myTaxPortal?
4. Throughout the process I went through for "Pay my outstanding tax", I am constantly reminded to make payment by "due date" or "penalities if failure to pay by due date" but the "due date" was not reflected at all on the webpages, not even after I successfuly obtained the Payment Voucher Number and proceed to Log Out (This is also why I proceed to make payment immediately). Please advise.
5. On behalf of a friend, he failed to make payment by "due date" and wanted to check the penalties online. However, he was unable to obtain the info online, on the IRAS webpage (I tried too, but to no avail). Pls advise if IRAS has such information available online. If not, please advise on the penalties.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you & Regards,
