Finally found some time to blog. Haa..looking back its been a really really busy week...with work and play! haha..last week, was tryin desperately to finish up my assignments b4 the weekend cuz i was goin to Coventry to visit my frens. But i gave up doing them cuz it was too difficult...so i happily left my work behind and took a coach up to Coventry to visit my ex-classmates..it was really fun! Visited the hometown of William Shakespear, and after treading on the floor tat he once walked on, i feel like some of his knowledge rubbed off me..haa..i took photos but lazy to upload them now.lolz...then we went for a Halloween party on Saturday nite in their University Student Union which was really qte an experience and eye-opener! haha ppl were really dressed in all sorts of fun and funky costumes and of cuz we were dressed up too! hahaz so it was fun, had a little booze...and it got too crowded so we left early..haha. suppose to go sightsee-ing again on Sunday but we were too tired so we spent the afternoon chatting and gossipping and cookin! haha, i think i m gettin better at cooking looking at all my frens cook. Hopefully soon i will be able to whip up my own meal man. HAHAZ

And of cuz, Coming back on Sunday nite jus meant tat i had to spent the whole nite tryin to finish the work i left behind..lolz...and monday nite was spent doin the same and FINALLY haf a nite to catch a breather..ha..we cooked our own bak-ku-teh for dinner with Gong-BAo chicken and ribs as well. SHIOK SHIOK SHIOK. haha i guess i m seriously real lucky my frens here can cook..else i'll be eating all the rubbish tat i cook for myself..lolz

And for some strange reasons, my frens here think that i m really smooth with ladies..jus becuz i seem to know alot of the girls and they dun, esp the international ppl...and i realise tat its true as well...perhaps i m jus more outgoing than the rest! but then again...y is it tat they know the guys around but i only know the girls around...hmm....

in fact i'm still not sure i'm really goin to make riding my mode of transport...
but i did achieve one of my objectives to start learning to ride... another topic to talk to my brother! hee... we chatted like almost an hour discussing the bike models i shld or shld not buy, goin thru some brochures also(honestly speaking, i never really thought of buying, cos i tink my mum will disown me...) Thru the discussion, he also confessed that he has bought the new bike... class 2... huge bike... 400plus each mth... can buy a car rite? (sigh... he bought it even after my umpteen discouragement and advices a few weeks back...when he wanted to borrow some $$$ fr me)

packing almost done... starting to miss my zaizai even when i'm looking at him now...
to master the art of phototaking is really not easy... i still remembered how Brandy related his experiences to me during BS... my cousin also into it... the passion and commitment you have to put in cannot be any less.

I remember not too long ago, i actually sign up for bike lessons but i never really went around getting to the practicals.

Okie, u are officially one up on me. hahah...

I guess looking at it now, i have no impertus to learn anymore since im kinda stuck with the car. U know what they say....'if u sell ur car, u will lose alot.'

Silver, just be careful when u ride. Dun get carried away. Its a cheap transport until u realise the risk factor involve. Hope u know what i mean.

er hem...

I'm proud to announce that i'm a 'proud' holder of 2 classes of license as of 25th Oct 06 1230H.

Hee... yeah... I passed my Riding TP test today!!! Yippee yeah!

hee... it was really a stressful session of 4 hours...
reach BBDC at ard 0715h... waited till 0750h before briefinf for the test was given... then... got my number tag (21, my fav number! feels good)
Then... followed by warm up session with the bike... the warm up din really went well... my engine stalled thrice on the slope... the second round of warm up also no good... din manage to stop at stipulated distance for emergency brake (can render an immediate failure during test). Ok, enough of warm ups... abt 9am... another round of briefings, instructor started to remind us the hotspots and things that the testers(10 testers!)looked out for. 0930h... off we(90 testees today) went... queuing up for our turns to do the test(no 21, very fast)... i completed the test as early in less than 30mins... reached finishin point ard 0955h... since i din do any major mistakes to render immediate failure... then... can only pray that i din clocked alot of demerit points... so.. wait... wait... and wait... 1115h... report at classroom 5 for results... then.. wait wait and wait again for testers to come in and call ur number...(if ur number is called... means u have failed...)
ok... the first tester only stepped in at 1200H! This tester really made everyone's heart sink... first he said.. this time no good... less than 50 percent passed... not the usual standard of 70-80%... then he started to call out those under him (9 testees under each tester, his was fr 10-18), well, he called out every number except 17, so... only 17 passed... suddenly the atmosphere became real tense... then one by one... tester came in... mine is the 7th/8th one to come in(very nervous... wanted my heart to stop then instead of pumping)... and the first number he called, "23!"... i turned to the guy (22) behind me... he quickly stretched out his hands and we wanted to congratulate each other but... hesitated... cos we did know if it's for real... so... we waited until he finished his last number... and yesh!!! haha
so... the whole test process ended with a compulsory video clip viewing and a pledge taking ceremony... yes, funny? pledge taking!!! "we, pledge to be safe riders on the road...blah blah... " haha... everyone was laughing reading the pledge...
k... guys...apologies for this lengthy narration of my test ordeal... hee...

Halo Folks...

0445H here on the 21 Oct... jus came home... dun intend to sleep cos i need to send my mum off... she's flying to Hongkong for holidays (leaving hse in 15mins...) so... here i'm, trying to keep myself awake by dropping an entry.

hmm... din sleep for the past 23 hours... but with occasional dozes during the movie earlier on...
well... we (with my frens) had dinner (yes, bak cho mee, hao jian, chicken wings etc) at Bedok blk 85 before proceeding to ViVo City for a walk cum movie... Indeed, the VV city is really big... will be really a nice place once it's fully furnished.

k... abt the movie. Watched "The Prestige"... some said it's the battle of the Wolverine and Batman... Well... not a bad show (cos it created quite a debate or rather discussions among us after the show plus the story was quite good i thought) though i dozed off a few times for split seconds... (but i still managed to catch all the details of the movie... hee... proud...) Not going to say much of the storyline, we'll discuss abt it once you guys watched it. (Zogel, I would say it's better than "Departed"... so watch it soon!)

oh... Zogel, jus a word of caution, never try to chiong the "downslope" stretch of Jurong Town Hall road (AYE towards Science Centre) on friday nites... This is the 2nd time i gana road blocks on friday nite... upon exiting AYE, we were all discussing that police like to set road blocks near the mentioned stretch but still, my fren at the front passenger seat actually wanted the driver fren to "chiong chiong chiong! will be shiok!" when we are nearing the stretch... subconciously, i reached to my seatbelt and said... "get ur seatbelts ready" with the thoughts dat TP might be waiting at the foot of the slope... and...true enough! we saw red and blue flickering lights...it's the Ma Das!!! Fortunately, my fren did not speed for the excitement, and we r fast in fastenin seat belts... we were stopped and torchlight was shone at everyone in the car (5 of us). All these came as a deja vu to me... cos i had the same experience 3 weeks ago!!! Same scenerio... when there's one who will be encouraging "chiong ah", then... the frantic movements of passengers fastening the seat belts... haha... this is wat i call really exciting and adrenaline pumping!!! Of cos after which, everyone will start laughin in the car for the close shave we had been thru...

k... got to send mum downstairs to wait for cab...

yawn... tired... maybe can catch a one hour power nap before meeting frens for Treetop walk at 0700h.

Its sort of a long weekend now that we are caught between deepavali and Hari Raya.
Our dearest maid didnt sms me after i ignored her lonely msgs... hahaha... i'll let someone else cheat her. Dun wanna burn in hell after i die.

Well, i caught WORLD TRADE CENTRE yesterday with my friends. Wasnt exactly a really really good show since there was really little action except the initial portion. But it was touching to see so many of them risk their lives to save someone else.

Brings me to one of my many childhood dreams... I wanna die saving someone else. hahaha... It sounds really silly but i always look upon it as one of the most honorable way to die. At least, t beats lying me bed, struck by cancer.. Oh well, watching the show does bring back some of these wild thoughts.

Yesyes, the prestige. Im thinking of watching it too. Then again, i mgt be a pirate and just buy some pirated VCDs/DVDs..hahaha..

Other things in my life...

Almost got into accident yesterday. haha.. twice.

A pickup almost knock into me when it exited some construction yard. I was caught between this really huge trailer and 'her' (denotes the driver's gender). I have to brake really hard and my car kinda skidded in the rain. She didnt even apologise.. sigh..

The other incident was when i stopped behind this truck driven by some bunglas. They almost reverse into me...

sigh...
The trucks nowadays are so dangerous. Luckily, im blessed with superior driving skills...
hahaha...

WOW...

i din know such things still exists... "love @first SMS"... hee...
Well, Zogel, y din u give her a chance? at least she is here, locally. Not north not south not far... hee...

but anyway... yah... wat has the world becoming to? i wun be surprised if there's other guys out there who will continue the sms exchanges with "her".

almost 2 am now... a duty off day for me... did my second visit to the hair saloon but the hairdresser was not ard (i went the day before i.e. Wed). Sigh.

Then... clocked a self practice session for bike. Chose the wrong bike... this bike did not work really well. no power no nothing. It went dead several times and none of these several times i could restart the engine normally (i.e. clutch in and press start or ignite). I had to pull down the kick start handle and started kicking for the engine to start... The worst was the instance when this bike went dead on the slope, trust me, "kicking start" at the slope was no laughing matter and i had to kick so many times before the engine sounds came faintly... really... the kind of dying sound... so demoralising... (i was also lazy to go and change another bike cos i'm sure i won't be able to get a low cut bike).

today's bike session was the first one after a month of resting... it all seemed so unfamiliar... jerky movements, unstable stops, too much or too little acceleration... so many jump starts... shagged. Really need more sessions before i set off to Wa La Land...

Also went to watch a woman basketball match in the evening...inter ministry tournament, MOE vs PA... supporting MOE cos my frens inside... think the score was 67 : 14... MOE won. good for them.
Some memories came back as i watched the games being played... "those were the days"...
And i really admired these frens... they never give up playing basketball... never.

then... supper with my ex-teammates at East Coast Rd Hong Kong Cafe... eating and chatting and laughing... a really good catching up session... really enjoyed it... (non stop laughter as long as Qiaofang is ard)

Now i'm waiting for a while more for the food to digest... before i hit the bed... 4 hours of sleeping time left...

2) Smoking. I had mine just awhile back. It aint that bad but frankly would i wanna tie myself down with something that cost $11 per pack. Naaa... Im just too rational to do something like that. I rather spend the money on food or something... hahah.. Silver, pls try smoking someday.

3) Some filipino maid is trying to make a pass on me. hahah... Heres the story.

She gave me a miss call and when i saw it, i send a msg to chk who it was.
She msg back and tried to start a conversation.
She even mention that shes lonely and sad becoz shes away from home and everything..
I subsequently ignore her msgs.

Haven been actively online recently.
Well, except today. Working late tonite means i have the whole morning to myself.

Hasnt been exactly free to blog recently. Hahaha...been trying to read and do mental tennis.
I miss playing tennis. I need to get the rest of the guys to start playing. hahaha...

Hope everyone here has recovered from their illness and injuries. The road leading to my house does have alot of lizards and funny creatures. When i used to run that stretch, i always encounter lizards and i have to purposefully 'avoid' them.

Im car-less as we speak.
Car is at workshop. Its a cheap car so im not surprise that it has develop probs after 4 months. HAhaha..thats how long i had a car already. Its been a while, i guess.

Today is a nite fry day... good and bad... good, can sleep abit later and do abit of work out in the morning. bad, must go home late and miss the latest korean drama at 7pm on channel U.

k... woke up ard 8pm... can't sleep any longer cos zai zai was jumping onto me waking me up... yesh... he was hungry...

so.. dragged myself up, fed him, brush up, changed and off i went for a cycling work out. Listening to fm933 (today 933 was doing live telecast at OUB building and the theme was "good old times", the songs they played were really nice) as i cycled...
but... less than 10mins to my cycling... dunnoe wat got into my mind... the next moment when i realised... i was already "diving" into the grass patch... yesh... flew out of my bicycle seat and dive... fortunately... it's a grass patch... only 2 scratch bruises patch over 2 kneecap areas... quite 蝙蝠侠...
But still, i continued the routine... cycled along the bukit batok road towards teck whye... well... today is a "meet the reptiles" day... The "to" leg, i nearly ran over an iguana, and shortly after day, met another one... which ran across the pathment to the tree rather fast... (adrenaline inducing journey i tot). But the "return" leg was lagi jialat... this big monitor lizard jus parked itself in the middle of the pathment (i was jus after the t junction after BBDC exit)!!! I tried to ring the bell to scare him(maybe her)... but... he stayed rooted... yes... i was getting closer... closer... and i braked infront of it... then he decided to turn back into the bushes... "phew..."

end of story...

time to change and leave hse!!! jus got a call fr office to buy 3 packets of chicken rice... argh...

the haze situation here is getting worse with a reading of 150 hit last heard and occasional burning smell... everything here now looks blur even with specs or contact lens... Imagine the outlines of buildings, trees and objects not seen fr far at nite as the haze has blurred the whole "scenery"...

I've been giving myself excuses and excuses for not jogging or working out becos of the haze... eating and eating only.... turning real fat...

1255am Xiling drove her dad's car and we went all the way to west coast park macdonalds at an average speed of 60km/h (or maybe slower...). Reach there... we started chatting and discussin the line-ups later (i oredered the awfully sinful chocolate milkshake... yum yum)

0230am Reached home... sleep... zzZ

0530am (supposed to be awake... but i din... the alarm din work... plus... my mum din work too! >>i wrote on the whiteboard to ask my mum to wake me up once she saw the msg... she usually woke up at 530 for work... but.. sob... she happened to be off!)
0600am (supposed to be on bus 334 to the bride's(sherloon's) hse... but i'm still in bed...)
0625am (supposed to be at her hse liao if i'm on the bus... but i din... still in bed)
0657am (the reporting time set by the sisters' head) I jumped off bed... to my horror... i saw white sky at the window... it's daylite!!! I m late... ran all the way to the kitchen to check out the clock (dunnoe y) indeed... 7am(dat's wat the clock shows)!!! still at home!!! rush back room... called Vivien... "i jus woke up, will be late!) rush back to kitchen again... brush teeth, wash face, comb hair... rush back to room again, changed, and ran out of the hse... got a cab... and off i went...
0717am Reached... with one shoe U/S... argh... and guess wat? i m not the latest... Vivien and Iris still on their way... yawn... but... still... amazing... all happened in 20 odd mins... so lucky to get a racing cab...

0730am All present, all sequence run thru... Groom coming soon...
0755am Horning sounds heard... irritating but exciting!!! Horn and Horn and Horn... a convoy of 8 Mazdas arrived... in other words... we, sisters, had to start working...
0805am The action began with occasional cold waters poured by Sharon's Mum (she was too protective to her son-in-law, wanted to let him in after only 5mins of games). so... the actions continued... with the groom reciting 9 reasons why he liked Sherloon, eating colgate cookies, drawin a sketch of the look of sherloon at the age of 60, brothers doing pushups, groom showin his creativity, brother wearing disposable briefs, groom eating sour/sweet/bitter/hot breakfast, singing the song "Xiao Wei" (changed Sherloon) and finally... Sealing a kiss on her lips to complete the sequel... the morning event continued with travellin to hougang to "bai zu xian", then to punggol to "Jing Cha" and then... back to Jurong again for another round of "Jing Cha"...

0200pm Reached home... packed and bathed
0250pm Set off to the hotel...
0325pm Reached hotel, Grand Copthorne Waterfront... but... groom n bride late... no rooms for us to check in and rest...
0410pm Checked in...(the sisters' room no is 2222, wat a number) finally... and started the make-over project... we had 10 ladies queuing up for hairdo and make-up at the room... it's really a major project...
0825pm i'm finally done with mine...(i was sequence no. 11) sweat... and... the dinner started uneventfully...
1100pm Finally... the wedding dinner had come to an end... back to hotel room, bathed and... went out for a nite walk, "sight-seeing" (clubbers at the roadsides vomitting, a super long queue of taxis etc)

that's all i have for the whole day of event... sorry for the long entry...

Last note to Zogel... if u r not enjoying yourself attending wedding dinners as u used to... maybe you shld be able to enjoy yourself on your BIG day... so... the question is when??? ha...

Well, to me, it's always the best chance to catch up with long lost frens... and of cos, seeing my married frens enjoying their happiness (but long and tiring wedding sequel and preparations), i will be happy for them too...
but it also comes with annoying part... when everyone else will start asking u... "when's ur turn?", as if there's no better line to start a conversation... hahaha

Hey, juz a thought, getting high on drinks is a damn good excuse to do 'wrong' things. IN fact, we can all do wat we want and brush it off subsequently with.. 'i don't know what i was doing'..

Was at Matrix's wedding dinner last nite. And it suddenly dawn upon me that i dun enjoy wedding dinner as much as i used to anymore. I guess the multiple weddings i attended this year has turn me off weddings. Hahaha...

I used to enjoy wedding alot since they are happy occasions where my friends get hitch and spend the rest of their lives happily with their love ones. Now, its just a procession that i go through every other month. In some months, i go through 2. hahaha...

But hey, dun worry...Frosty, Silver... I'll still be there on your big day. If the food sucks and the dinner takes too long...at least its a good chance to check out the pretty ladies deck in their sunday best. =)
